My Lucky Tax Day Mani!!

Morning! Today Jack and I will be getting our taxes done and I wanted a fun mani for the occasion, lol. *fingers crossed in hopes of getting a good amount back*
I had purchased Orly Fowl Play a few months ago, and had yet to wear it as a full mani, so last night while watching Drive with Jack, I got started on my tax day mani :)
I started with 2 pretty thick coats of Fowl Play. There are so many colors in this, it's amazing. The multiple colors appears more in direct light and sunlight. Otherwise it appears as a darker purple, but you can still see the flakes. I just love this polish!!

Here it is in just normal indirect light. Still so pretty!

Then I wanted some stripes, so I used Claire's 14 Karats and BundleMonster plate BM20

How about some lemonade :)

Okay, so this mani was originally planned to be way more fun, but time ran out :( I had planned on adding some nail stamping, and even some rhinestones, but as soon as I was done taking pictures, my daughter saw I was about to take a breath, and intervened, lol so my 'me' time went all down hill from there, lol. I do love this color for Summer though and so did her school friends :) This is just 2 coats of Orly Lemonade, and it applied beautifuly.

Morning guys!!! I'm BACK!!!!

Alright, well let me just start by saying, thank you all so much for your sweet comments, and emails that I received. I don't want you guys to worry, everyone in my family is doing good. I just had some issues that I needed to deal with. You all really are so amazing and sweet, thank you guys again!! As much as it killed me to be away, it was something that I needed to do. I'm back though, and I hope I never have to go away again, lol. I missed you guys!! If you emailed me, pelase just give me some time to get back to you. I am starting to now, but I have just a tad over 100 emails, lol, so it might be a few days :)  Oh and I have tried to go back and respond to your comments, but blogger for some reason, won't let me. Each time I write something, and click 'Submit' it just keeps asking me to sign in again :(

Okay, lets just get back to normal now, and pretend that little time away never happened....deal??
Here is a funky french I did. I had a mostly black outfit on, and just wanted something fun on my tips :)

I started with 2 thick coats of China Glaze He's Going In Circles and then added China Glaze Jolly Holly for the tips.

It's Wednesday, It's Wednesday (doing the cabbage patch)

Morning guys!!! Hope you all are having a great week, I'm about to go cray cray, waiting on my ipad 2. In fact, I'm pretty sure I have watched every youtube video out there, on them, lol. Well today, you know, since it's Pink Wednesday, I wanted to use my China Glaze BFF, the good one. You can find a comp here of good vs bad. Anyways, I also wanted to use the little cute Bulldog tattoo from bigRuby Nail Tattoos.

Also, I want  to thank you all for entering the giveaway, and want to announce the winner.......
Elizabeth, CONGRATS!!!  She has already been contacted, and gotten back to me.

Now onto the mani....
I started with 2 coats of Orly Kiss the Bride

Then using tape, I added China Glaze BFF for my tips

and I finally added the cute bulldog nail tattoo from bigRubys

A Bubbly Bombshell and my new fave base!

Morning!!! I have such a beauty to show you, and I TOTALLY meant to do something fun with it, but my days have just gone so fast, and I'm pretty sure I"m somehow losing a few hours lately. I saw this at Ulta this past weekend, just sitting on an end cap, and of course it's pretty sparkles drew me in. Oh and the name, hee hee, is so fun. It's Orly Bubbly Bombshell, and btw, it is NOT a top coat eater, so whew! I also had to share my new base coat, well it's technically a ridge filler, but I'm using it for a base, and it rocks! I love that it it a semi milky base, so it's also kind of like underwear for your polish :) My neighbor used it as her base as well, and freaking loves it. Now I change mine often, but she doesn't as much, and she didn't get any chips for close to 4 days! I'll show you it after these pics.

Okay, here it is, it's Essie Fill The Gap. I got mine off of Apothica.

Orly Royal Velvet gets funky...

I picked this up......I'm going to say a few weeks ago, but I can't honestly remember, at Ulta. It's part of the new collection that Orly has out. Out of them all though, once again, only 1 stood out to me, lol, and it was Royal Velvet, man, I just can't pass up a purple/blue duochrome! As always the purple was a lot easier to see in person, my camera just wanted no part of it.

Here is a bottle pic, and you can see the purple tons better, it really does look just like this on the nail.

Here is 3 coats on the nail with SV

and since i haven't done my black tips in ages, I slapped them on as well :) I really just love how Royal Velvet appears to be glowing on my nail!

Purple Reign, and no...no relation to Prince :P

Since I'm now able to see all my polishes, I'm using ones I forgot about completely, and LOVE it. Shopping in my own stash is a smidge cheaper than stores, lol. While I was 'shopping' I saw Pure Ice Purple Reign, and my eyes lit up. I just love this polish, and before my display, it was lost in a drawer. Since all Pure Ice polishes tend to be sheer, I always start with a base. For this I used 2 coats of Orly Purple Velvet, another one from the Vinyl collection, and then 1 coat of Purple Reign, then topped them with SV.

I took these last 2 pics, out of direct light, so you could see the pretty shimmer better.

I also just wanted to let you all know, that as of tonight, I will be leaving for a weekend get-away with the neighbors and hubby. We will be back on Sunday, so I can respond to all your questions/comments then. I will however, have post scheduled for Saturday and Sunday morning for you guys!

OPI Black Shatter has arrived!!

YAY, Black Shatter is finally here!! I was soooo excited when it arrived!! I wanted to try 2 different manis, so I decided to layer it over a sparkly gold & then a flakie.

Here is the first one I tried....I did a base of Orly Luxe and then a coat of China Glaze Medallion, which FYI is my fave sparkly gold glitter! Black Shatter needs to be used over a 100% dry mani, and used VERY quickly. I actually prefer the smaller cracked looked, like in my previous post, but this is still nice.

Then I wanted to try it over a flakie, so I used a base of Love & Beauty, from Forever 21, and then added Nfu-Oh 50 over top.

1 word.......BEAUTIFUL!!

Now here it is with Black Shatter over top

How Konad killed my mani....

**EDIT** I just wanted to let you all know, I have added a 'FAQ' tab up above, under the header

So I invisioned this mani looking WAY differently in my head, lol. Which happens quit often. This is one of those times that the Konad just took it to a whole new level, and not a good one. For this mani I used Sinful Easy Going, Orly Purple Fusion, Sally Hansen Pink Petal and scotch tape. I just love this, before the Konad.
Oh well, I'm always up to try things. Here it is, after the mani killer was added!

This was how I started. I used Sinful's Easy Going

Then taped it off, and added Sally Hansens Pink Petal

Then to finish of the pink gradient, I used Orly Purple Fusion

Now for the stripes. I used Bundle Monster plate BM20 and Konad's special polish in Black.

After each layer, I used a coat of SV, Seche Vite. This helps the layers dry quicker, so it doesn't take too long.
