Check out this combo!

Good morning! So, ever since I went through my stash and re-organized, I've been playing with some polishes that I never gave much love too, and today I shall show you 2 of them.

I started with a forgotten love, L'Oreal Illuminescence, which a VERY dark purple with hidden shimmer.
This is just 2 coats with no top coat, and then I added 1 coat of Pure Ice Heart Breaker. The two are a gorgeous pair!!

Yay, It's Pink wednesday!!

I really love having a day of the week pre-planned color wise! For today's mani, I wanted to try some more layering. So I first started with Nicole by OPI  You're An Angel.  The shimmer in this is so amazing, and NOT hidden at all. I did 3 coats.

I then added Pure Ice Rio

and using my Mash plate M64 & Pure Ice Silver Mercedes, I did this design :)

Heart Breaker......a name that says it all

I love trying different layering combos, and Pure Ice polish, is great for this. I get mine from Wal-mart for $2 a bottle. They have some great colors, and although most are pretty sheer, they work great for layering. I had heard about Pure Ice Heart Breaker on MUA, but my Wal-mart never had it in stock. Well, Jack and I had to go there on Sunday to get some odds and ends, and I was so giddy to see they had completely re-stocked and cleaned up the Pure Ice display, and there was Heart Breaker. Whoo hoo! As soon as I got home, I had to do a mani with it, and decided to use a new China Glaze I purchased off of eBay recently called Calypso Blue. Which I might add, is beyond one of the most beautiful blues I own!

Here is 2 coats of Calypso Blue on it's own

Then I added 1 coat of Heart Breaker. It is just so pretty, and I can't wait to try it over a purple!

Ombre mani

Morning guys!! Now as some of you may have seen on TV, or fashion magazines, Ombre hair is a pretty big trend now, and I've seen Ombre nails done quit a bit on Makeupalley.com, so I went ahead and tried one as well. I chose to do a Black to White ombre. Ombre, is just going from the lightest of a color to the darkest.

Here are the colors I chose:

Thumb - OPI Alpine Snow Matte w/ SV on top, sorry, I completely forgot to take a pic of it :( I FAIL
Pointer - Dr. REMEDY Heather Grey
Middle - Pure Ice Kiss Me Here
Ring - Franken of Kiss Me Here & Sinful Black on Black.
Pinky - Sinful Black on Black

So what do you guys think? Have you done an Ombre mani? I was actually really loving this mani!!

Pink Flowers & Pearls

Well last night, I decided to do a subtle male mani, lol. What I mean, is a mani that won't stand out to much to men, since I have a big dealer meeting this morning, I didn't want to do anything too crazy but still fun.

For this I used, a base of Essie Merino Cool, Pure Ice Busted over top & then did the stamping with Pure Ice Outrageous.

This was my final mani :)

I started with 1 coat of Merino Cool
added 1 coat of Busted

Then stamped with Outrageous

and then, because they were sitting next me, I added some ivory pearls in the center of the flowers, on my ring fingers.

Purple Reign, and no...no relation to Prince :P

Since I'm now able to see all my polishes, I'm using ones I forgot about completely, and LOVE it. Shopping in my own stash is a smidge cheaper than stores, lol. While I was 'shopping' I saw Pure Ice Purple Reign, and my eyes lit up. I just love this polish, and before my display, it was lost in a drawer. Since all Pure Ice polishes tend to be sheer, I always start with a base. For this I used 2 coats of Orly Purple Velvet, another one from the Vinyl collection, and then 1 coat of Purple Reign, then topped them with SV.

I took these last 2 pics, out of direct light, so you could see the pretty shimmer better.

I also just wanted to let you all know, that as of tonight, I will be leaving for a weekend get-away with the neighbors and hubby. We will be back on Sunday, so I can respond to all your questions/comments then. I will however, have post scheduled for Saturday and Sunday morning for you guys!

More Water Marbling....

Okay, so I hope you all don't mind another post on Water Marbling. I did 2 more, lol. I'm just having so much fun with these. Thanks a lot Crystal, haha. I promise tomorrows post will be something else.
For this one I used Sinful's Dream On and Pure Ice Risk Taker. I first did a base of Sinful's Black on Black though.

For this one I used a base of Sinful Black on Black again, and OPI DS Original, OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender & Sinful's Black for the marbling.
